Lal Bahadur Shastri SMILE Foundation ("LBSSF", "we", "us", or "our") strives to ensure the satisfaction of all participants in our programmes and donors who support our mission. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing refunds for programme registration fees and donations made through our website (lbssf.org) and the ASSET (Anil Shastri School of Education & Training) platform.

1. Programme Registration Refunds

The following refund terms apply to fees paid for training programmes, certification courses, and other educational services offered through the ASSET platform:

Cancellation by Participant

  • More than 15 days before programme start date: Full refund of the programme fee, minus any applicable payment gateway charges.
  • 7 to 15 days before programme start date: 50% refund of the programme fee.
  • Less than 7 days before programme start date: No refund will be provided. However, participants may transfer their enrollment to another eligible individual, subject to approval.
  • After programme commencement: No refund will be provided for programmes that have already commenced, regardless of attendance.

Cancellation by LBSSF

If LBSSF cancels a programme for any reason (such as insufficient enrollment, unavailability of faculty, or force majeure events), enrolled participants will receive a full refund of the programme fee. Alternatively, participants may choose to transfer their enrollment to a future session of the same programme or a different programme of equivalent value.

2. Donation Refunds

Donations made to Lal Bahadur Shastri SMILE Foundation are voluntary contributions to support our charitable and educational mission.

  • Donations are generally non-refundable once processed.
  • In cases of accidental or duplicate donations (e.g., a transaction was charged multiple times due to a technical error), a refund will be issued upon verification.
  • Refund requests for donations must be made within 7 days of the transaction date.
  • If a donation refund is processed after a Section 80G tax receipt has been issued, the receipt will be revoked and the donor must not claim the deduction.

3. Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days from the date of approval. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of the transaction. The actual time for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider (typically 5–7 additional business days). Payment gateway charges, if any, may be deducted from the refund amount and are non-refundable.

To request a refund, please follow these steps:
