Son of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, Anil Shastri Ji is the philosophical compass and guiding force behind the Lal Bahadur Shastri SMILE Foundation. A distinguished political leader, educationist, and institution builder, he carries forward the legacy of his father’s unwavering commitment to simplicity, integrity, and public service.
His decades of experience in governance, policy advocacy, and educational reform provide LBSSF with the strategic vision and moral clarity that shape every initiative the foundation undertakes — from grassroots social welfare programs to the establishment of ASSET as a centre of professional excellence.
